What We Stand For
Compassion
Every woman deserves dignity and understanding as she seeks recovery. We believe support should begin with compassion, not judgment, and recognize the challenges each woman may face.
Connection
No woman should have to face recovery alone. Access to supportive relationships and appropriate resources can help create a stronger foundation for moving forward.
Purpose
Financial barriers can prevent women from accessing sober living when they are ready for change. We help address this gap by providing funding when other resources are unavailable.
Why We Exist
When funding is out of reach, Awaken Recovery Foundation is a 5013C non-profit organization dedicated to helping women access safe recovery housing and the support they need to rebuild their lives.
A woman seeking recovery may need a safe place to live before she can take her next step. When financial support is unavailable, she may remain in an unsafe environment or face homelessness at a vulnerable time.
We believe every woman deserves the opportunity to rebuild her life with dignity, support, and hope. We exist to help women overcome the financial barriers that can stand between them and safe recovery housing. We want to be there when a woman reaches that crucial moment when she says to herself, “I’m ready to change,” and truly wants to take that step forward.
Our Approach
Helping Women Take the Next Step Toward Safety
Our approach goes beyond providing access to safe recovery housing. We also believe in supporting the additional resources that help women build confidence, develop life skills, and create lasting change. This may include funding for mindfulness, nutritional and financial education, confidence-building workshops, and communication skills.
We believe these resources are important additions to the 12-step program, helping women gain the tools they need to become more independent, productive members of society, and move forward with greater confidence.
HELP MAKE A SAFE START POSSIBLE
Your support helps us provide funding for sober living when other resources aren’t available. Together, we can help more women access a safe place to begin rebuilding their lives and moving toward recovery.
